Mom had a 4 day weekend for the 4th of July and decided to spend it with us – woo hoo. We spent most of the actual 4th at home because Mom didn’t get to San Antonio until 4:30 or so, and Ben’s asthma was REALLY bothering him. We managed to get it under control after a visit to the Doctor Friday morning. To make up for him missing our cook-out with friends and the neighborhood fireworks, we decided to head back to the Flying L Water Park in Bandera. We had been once before (also with Mom) and really enjoyed it, so I’ve been chomping at the bit to get back there now that Noah is bigger.
The Flying L did not disappoint. My only complaint was that it was a little chilly (Noah had goose bumps most of the time) but the kids never slowed down the entire time we were there. I thought it would be really crowded since it was 4th of July weekend, but it wasn’t at all. I really love it out there and I still want to plan a little trip that involves staying for a night or two and taking part in all of their Dude Ranch activities.
I know the kids would love it!
Here are the three gremlins – ready to hit the wave pool!
I may have been a tad bit overzealous with Grace’s spf 50…
You can see here, based on the color of Ben’s lips, that it was a little cold.
But these guys are obviously too tough to care.
Bring on the cold!
This is the smallest of the three slides – it looks like a little chuck wagon – too cute!
The chuck wagon slide was fun, but it wasn’t long before all 3 kiddos moved on to the big slide. Grace was hysterical – she LOVED it and came down that slide every possible way imaginable.
I think she was taking a nap on her way down this time. :)
Ben was so sweet and rode with his little brother over and over again. I love how Noah would always lay down on his lap.
Noah was one happy (shivering) water baby.
A big difference from last time!
I love this sweet little water park!
